Samsung Confirms Issue with Do Not Disturb Mode on Galaxy

Samsung has confirmed a bug affecting the Do Not Disturb (DND) mode on Galaxy Watches running One UI 8 Watch, based on Wear OS 6.0. The company says it is aware of the issue and plans to address it through a future software update. In the meantime, Samsung has shared a temporary solution for users facing the problem.

The Issue with DND Mode

The problem arises when users activate DND mode from the Quick Panel on Galaxy Watches running One UI 8 Watch and set the duration to ‘Until I turn it off.’ In this case, DND mode does not apply correctly, causing notifications to still come through. Samsung’s investigation has confirmed that the bug affects several Galaxy Watch models, including the Galaxy Watch 4, Galaxy Watch 5, Galaxy Watch 6, Galaxy Watch 7, Galaxy Watch Ultra, and the Galaxy Watch 8 series.

Temporary Fix for Affected Users

Samsung has stated that the issue will be addressed in an upcoming software update, though no specific timeline for the rollout has been provided. As a temporary workaround, Samsung recommends users enable DND mode from the Settings app on the Galaxy Watch instead of the Quick Panel. Alternatively, users can activate DND from their connected Galaxy smartphone, which applies the mode more reliably on the Galaxy Watch.
