Samsung has launched the Galaxy XCover 7 Pro and Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro in select global markets. These rugged devices target professionals working in demanding environments. Both models use the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset and meet MIL-STD-810H durability standards. They also carry IP68 ratings for water and dust resistance and feature Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ for screen protection. Samsung ships both devices with Android 15 and One UI 7, adding support for 5G and Wi-Fi 6E.
The Galaxy XCover 7 Pro costs GBP 559 (around ₹63,300) for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage version. The Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro starts at GBP 769 (around ₹87,100) with the same configuration. Samsung has confirmed these prices but hasn’t announced the exact sale date or plans for India. Both products are expected to hit select markets by the end of April 2025.
The XCover 7 Pro features a 6.6-inch Full HD+ TFT LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate. It includes Vision Booster, Wet Touch, and Glove Mode for outdoor usability. The Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor powers the phone alongside 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, expandable to 2TB with a microSD card. The rear camera setup includes a 50MP main sensor and an 8MP ultrawide lens. For selfies, it offers a 13MP front camera.
Samsung equipped the XCover 7 Pro with a 4,350mAh replaceable battery and Dolby Atmos stereo speakers. It also includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for added security. The phone supports 5G, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, GLONASS, NFC, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm audio jack. It measures 168.6 x 79.9 x 10.2mm and weighs 240g. Two programmable keys—the Top Key and XCover Key—offer quick access to custom features.
The Galaxy Tab Active 5 Pro offers a larger 10.1-inch WUXGA TFT LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 600 nits of brightness. Like the XCover 7 Pro, it uses Gorilla Glass Victus+ for protection. It also runs Android 15 with One UI 7 and uses the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset. Users can choose up to 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage.
The rear camera captures images at 12MP with a wide f/1.8 aperture, while the front camera offers 8MP for video calls. The tablet includes an IP68-rated S Pen and a customizable Active Key for productivity. A 10,100mAh replaceable battery supports Dual Hot-Swap, letting users switch batteries without shutting down. It can also work directly from a power source without a battery installed.
The Tab Active 5 Pro includes dual Dolby Atmos stereo speakers and shares the same connectivity options as the XCover 7 Pro. The Wi-Fi-only version weighs 680g, while the 5G model weighs 683g. The device measures 170.2 x 242.9 x 10.2mm.
