Starting next week, users of the Galaxy S24, Galaxy Z Fold6, and Galaxy Z Flip6 in Korea, the U.S., the U.K., and India will be able to register for the beta through the Samsung Members app.
What’s New in One UI 8?
One UI 8 builds on its debut with the Galaxy S25 series, introducing more intuitive AI features that understand users’ real-time context. It offers natural interactions, such as activating Google’s Gemini with voice commands or a simple long press on Galaxy Buds3 or Buds3 Pro. These improvements are designed to enhance productivity and deliver personalized suggestions that streamline users’ daily routines.
Expanding the Beta Program
In September, the program will extend to other devices like the Galaxy S23 series, Z Fold5, Z Flip5, A36 5G, A55 5G, A35 5G, and A54. The update is set to optimize multimodal capabilities for varied Galaxy form factors and improve efficiency across devices.
One UI 8 Watch
In addition to mobile devices, One UI 8 Watch will be available for more Galaxy Watch models beyond the Galaxy Watch8 series. It includes motivational health features and a more refined smartwatch interface, aimed at providing a more intuitive experience for users.
The Road to Official Release
Samsung plans to roll out the official version of One UI 8 in September, incorporating valuable feedback from the beta program. The official version will first arrive on the Galaxy S25 series, with other eligible devices to follow.
With One UI 8, Samsung aims to push the boundaries of what’s possible in mobile innovation, empowering users with smarter technology designed to meet their ever-evolving needs.
