Samsung Rolls Out One UI 7.0 Update to Galaxy A16 5G in Europe
Samsung has officially started rolling out the One UI 7.0 update to the Galaxy A16 5G, making it the brand’s first entry-level phone to receive Android 15 as part of its six-version OS update promise. The update is now available in European Union countries, with other regions expected to follow shortly.
This new firmware, version A166BXXU3BYEC, is around 3GB in size and includes the May 2025 security patch. Users in Europe can check for the update under Settings > Software update > Download and install. Once installed, the phone restarts and loads the new interface enhancements.
The Galaxy A16 5G One UI 7 update brings a fresh look and feel to the device. It includes revamped app icons, smoother animations, and a redesigned Quick Panel and Notifications screen now split into two distinct areas. The update also adds a Now Bar for tracking ongoing activities, introduces Large Folders on the home screen, and provides enhanced widget customization.
Samsung has also introduced Google Gemini as the default AI assistant, accessible via long-pressing the power button. Gemini is now integrated with core Samsung apps like Calendar, Clock, Notes, and Reminders for a more intelligent user experience.
Additionally, the camera layout is now optimized for one-handed use, and privacy controls have been upgraded with the Knox Matrix Dashboard and new USB blocking features. Overall, One UI 7.0 turns the Galaxy A16 5G into a more intuitive and secure device, underscoring Samsung’s commitment to long-term software support even for its budget models.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cRHb-7URWgA
