Samsung Micro RGB TV Debuts

Samsung has unveiled Samsung Micro RGB, a new display technology designed to redefine the ultra-premium television market. The innovation introduces micro-scale RGB LED backlighting behind a massive 115-inch screen, offering significant improvements in colour accuracy, contrast, and immersive viewing.

The new display marks a major step forward in Samsung’s premium TV lineup. By using micro-sized red, green, and blue LEDs arranged in a precise pattern behind the panel, the technology allows each light source to be individually controlled. This approach enhances picture precision and visual depth.

Samsung Micro RGB Technology Advances Display Innovation

The Samsung Micro RGB system relies on LEDs smaller than 100 micrometres. These micro-scale components deliver more precise colour control than traditional backlight technologies.

Unlike conventional LED TVs that use broader lighting zones, this architecture enables highly accurate colour management. As a result, viewers experience deeper contrast and more lifelike visuals.

Samsung says the display achieves full 100 percent colour coverage of the BT.2020 standard. This international benchmark, established by the International Telecommunication Union, defines one of the highest colour accuracy standards for ultra-high-definition displays.

The technology also earned certification from VDE, a leading German electrical engineering institute, confirming the precision of the display’s colour performance.

AI Engine Enhances Samsung Micro RGB Performance

Artificial intelligence plays a central role in the Samsung Micro RGB experience. The television includes a dedicated Micro RGB AI engine that analyses each frame in real time.

This AI processing optimises both picture and sound automatically. The system identifies scenes with dull or uneven colour tones and enhances them for a more vibrant image.

Samsung’s Micro RGB Colour Booster Pro feature also improves colour balance across different types of content. The result is a more natural viewing experience regardless of whether users watch films, sports, or streaming services.

Design and Viewing Experience

The display also incorporates glare-reduction technology designed to minimise reflections. Even in bright rooms, the screen maintains clear visuals and consistent colour quality.

Samsung has paired this technology with an ultra-slim metal design that gives the television a minimalist appearance. The slim profile allows the large screen to blend easily into modern interiors.

The television also integrates Samsung Vision AI features, which include AI-powered picture adjustments, advanced sound optimisation, and a smarter Bixby voice assistant.

Long-Term Support and Security

Samsung Micro RGB televisions run on the company’s Tizen operating system. Samsung has committed to providing software upgrades for up to seven years, ensuring continued feature improvements and compatibility.

Security is handled by Samsung Knox, the company’s dedicated platform designed to protect personal data and connected services.

With Samsung Micro RGB, Samsung aims to push display technology further into the next generation of premium home entertainment.
