Samsung Announces New Soundbars with Smoother and More Balanced Audio
Samsung has unveiled its new range of soundbars and speakers ahead of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2026, set to take place from January 6-9 in Las Vegas. These 2026 models come with enhanced features designed to deliver smoother and more balanced audio, aimed at providing an immersive experience for users.
Flagship HW-Q990H Soundbar: Immersive Dolby Atmos Experience
The highlight of Samsung’s 2026 soundbar lineup is the HW-Q990H, the company’s flagship model. This soundbar offers an 11.1.4-channel audio system, marking it as the most powerful and immersive soundbar Samsung has ever produced. It includes a 7.0.2-channel soundbar, two 2.0.1 satellite rear speakers, and a compact wireless subwoofer with dual 8-inch drivers.
Despite its compact size, the subwoofer delivers deep, powerful bass, thanks to its efficient design. Samsung’s innovative up-firing speakers and AI algorithms enhance the sound field, delivering audio that rivals professional home theater systems. This flagship model promises to provide the ultimate home entertainment experience.
New All-in-One Soundbar: HW-QS90H with Built-In ‘Quad-Bass Woofer’
Samsung is also launching the HW-QS90H, a new addition to their soundbar lineup. This all-in-one model features a 7.1.2-channel soundbar equipped with nine wide-range speakers and a built-in ‘Quad-Bass Woofer’ system. Unlike traditional models, it does not require a separate subwoofer but still manages to deliver impressive bass.
A standout feature of the HW-QS90H is its Convertible Fit design, which includes a built-in gyro sensor. This allows users to mount the soundbar on a wall or place it on a tabletop. The system automatically adjusts its channel distribution based on its placement, ensuring optimal sound performance in any environment.

Additionally, the SmartThings app offers users the ability to control sound settings, group audio playback, and access music streaming services like Spotify. The app also integrates voice assistant controls and settings, providing a seamless and user-friendly experience.
Hun Lee, Executive Vice President of Samsung’s Visual Display Business, commented, “For more than a decade, Samsung has shaped the evolution of home audio through advanced acoustics, intelligent features, and thoughtful design. We’re continuing that legacy with next-generation sound devices designed to deliver a rich, expressive performance for any space and moment.”
