The feature, which started rolling out in March 2024, has been expanding globally. Initially available in just 11 markets, Spotify has since extended the service to 85 regions, including the US and Canada. How to Watch Music Videos on Your Samsung TV
The new feature works seamlessly with Samsung TVs, like the S90C OLED model. When you play a song on Spotify, a new option called “Switch to music video” appears on the screen. By selecting this option, you can instantly watch the video for the song playing, adding a visual dimension to your music experience.
Once the music video starts, the “Switch to music video” button transforms into the “Switch to audio” button. Tapping this option will stop the video and revert to just the audio track. This gives users complete control over how they want to experience the music.

Alongside the main feature of switching between audio and video, Spotify on Samsung TVs offers several additional controls. You can pause, skip, or shuffle songs with easy-to-use buttons, and a progress bar lets you move forward or backward in the video. There’s also a “Related music videos” section, showcasing videos related to the one currently playing, allowing for continuous discovery of new content.
Additional Options: Lyrics and Dark Mode
For a more immersive experience, users can access lyrics while watching the video. If you select the “Lyrics” option, you’ll be asked to switch to audio for the lyrics to appear.
