Samsung officially launched the One UI 8.5 beta program yesterday. It’s now available to users in select countries.
Among the most exciting additions are major upgrades to Samsung Health. These make wellness tracking smarter and more convenient—especially on Galaxy Watches.
To begin with, Samsung Health already gives you a weekly summary of fitness, sleep, and wellness. Now, with One UI 8.5, it adds data from your medication tracker and mindfulness sessions. As a result, your health overview becomes far more complete.
In addition, social sharing just got better. You could always post workout stats online. But now, you can mix those stats with photos from your session. This lets you create custom, engaging posts without leaving the app.
Equally important, meditation is easier than ever. Thanks to the update, you can start sessions right from your Galaxy Watch. You can pick a favorite or try a recommended one—no need to grab your phone.
Perhaps the most innovative feature is antioxidant level tracking. For the first time, your Galaxy Watch can measure this metric on its own. It works even when disconnected from your phone. However, this feature currently only supports the Galaxy Watch 8 and Galaxy Watch Ultra.
Altogether, these One UI 8.5 Samsung Health improvements show Samsung’s focus on seamless, phone-free wellness. By combining fitness, mental health, and social tools, the update delivers a more holistic experience.
The beta is live now in supported regions. If you’re eligible, join via the Samsung Members app to test the features early.
