Samsung Electronics hosted an exciting exhibition in Milan, showcasing the remarkable solutions created by young innovators through its global Solve for Tomorrow competition. On February 9, 2026, the Smart City Lab in Milan became the stage for an unforgettable event where 10 talented young winners from around the world were named official Global Solve for Tomorrow Ambassadors. This exhibition, which took place in parallel with the ongoing Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026, reflected the importance of youth engagement in shaping a better future through technological advancements.

The event, supported by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the Milano Cortina 2026 Foundation, brought together notable figures from the worlds of design, politics, and sports, including Samsung’s Chief Design Officer, Mauro Porcini, Italian Senator Giusy Versace, and Olympism365 Associate Director Ollie Dudfield. The exhibition gave the Ambassadors a chance to present their cutting-edge innovations and engage directly with attendees who were eager to learn more about the practical applications of these groundbreaking ideas.

A Platform for Global Youth Innovation

The Solve for Tomorrow initiative has become a powerful platform, empowering young people to tackle real-world challenges using artificial intelligence (AI) and STEM-based solutions. By providing students with the tools and support they need to turn their ideas into tangible solutions, Samsung aims to inspire future leaders and innovators. The competition emphasizes design thinking, allowing participants to develop usable, practical products that can have a lasting social impact.

Through its global competition, Samsung fosters a sense of community among youth innovators, connecting them across borders and encouraging collaborative problem-solving. This year, the Solve for Tomorrow initiative took on a significant new theme: “Social Change Through Sport & Technology – Sport & Tech,” which builds upon previous themes such as sustainability and accessibility. As the program continues to grow, it highlights how the power of technology can be harnessed for the greater good of society.

Hands-On Experiences at the Exhibition

The Solve for Tomorrow Ambassador Exhibition was a showcase of remarkable prototypes designed to address a variety of societal issues. Each booth featured interactive experiences where visitors could engage with the solutions and learn more about the problems the young innovators were trying to solve.

For example, one of the highlights was the AKQUA-Gel, a smart bandage developed by a group of young innovators, including Arya Anilkumar, Anna Huang, Aishwarya Reddy, Subiksha Srinivasan Vidya, and Elaine Zuo. This AI-powered bandage is designed to monitor wound healing in real-time, enabling early detection of infections through sensor data. Attendees had the opportunity to see how this innovative solution could revolutionize healthcare by providing better treatment for wounds, especially in remote areas with limited access to medical resources.

Another impressive creation on display was Kroove, an app designed by Davide Casciaro and Francesco Emmanuel Stringaro, which encourages community engagement through sports. The app helps people find and join local sports activities, fostering a sense of community and promoting healthier lifestyles. Visitors interacted with the app and learned about its potential to connect people and bring communities together.

Empowering Youth Through Technology and Sport

The exhibition was more than just a display of technology; it was a celebration of the power of sport and technology to create social change. Throughout the event, the focus was on how these young innovators were using their passion for technology to drive meaningful change in their communities.

The Ambassadors came from diverse backgrounds, but all shared a common goal: to use technology to improve lives. In addition to the technical expertise they demonstrated, these young innovators showed the importance of creativity, persistence, and the will to make a difference in the world. Whether it was through smart solutions for healthcare, sustainable energy, or community engagement in sports, the Solve for Tomorrow Ambassadors proved that the next generation is ready to take on the world’s challenges.

Innovation Workshops and Global Partnerships

As part of the exhibition, the Solve for Tomorrow Ambassadors participated in a bespoke Innovation workshop, led by the Olympism365 Innovation Hub. The workshop was a collaborative effort between Samsung and the IOC, designed to further hone the Ambassadors’ skills and prepare them for their future endeavors. The session allowed participants to develop their ideas further, work on prototype refinement, and learn from experts in the fields of innovation, business, and social change.

The IOC’s involvement in the event underscored the shared belief between the organizations in the power of youth engagement. Olympism365’s Ollie Dudfield expressed his admiration for the solutions presented by the young innovators and emphasized the role of technology in inspiring positive social change. The focus on sports and technology as tools for inclusion and lifelong engagement highlighted how youth can be powerful agents of change, driving not only technological progress but also social transformation.

Notable Global Participants and Their Solutions

The Solve for Tomorrow Ambassador Exhibition featured 10 incredible teams, each with their own unique solutions to pressing global issues. These solutions ranged from accessible technologies to environmental innovations, each tackling a different challenge in society. Below are some of the noteworthy projects that were presented at the exhibition:

  1. Team Up (Australia) – An AI-based platform that connects individuals with local sports teams to boost participation in recreational sports.
  2. Run Sight (Indonesia) – A wearable AI solution that aids people with visual impairments in safely participating in physical activities like running by detecting lanes and obstacles.
  3. Poseidon (Türkiye) – A swimming safety system for visually impaired users, providing alerts through a wristband when approaching boundaries or obstacles in the pool.
  4. Curastep (Great Britain) – Smart sneakers equipped with sensors that detect early signs of blister formation in people with diabetes, encouraging safe physical activity.
  5. Storm Shield (United States) – A protective sports headband designed to shield hearing aids from moisture, impact, and environmental damage during physical activity.
  6. Furen Makers (China) – A brainwave-controlled wheelchair that supports people with ALS and physical disabilities in mobility, rehabilitation, and sports participation.
  7. Liova (France) – A reusable battery production kit that transforms discarded smartphone batteries into portable power banks, reducing electronic waste.
  8. Paraspeak (India) – A cloud-based AI solution that converts unclear speech into clear pronunciation in real-time, assisting people with speech impairments.
  9. Oilsorb (Türkiye) – A sustainable oil spill response solution using reusable wool-based oil absorption pads combined with drone technology to tackle marine pollution.
  10. AKQUA-Gel (United States) – An AI-powered smart bandage designed to monitor wound healing and support early infection detection through sensor data.

Closing Thoughts

The Solve for Tomorrow Ambassador Exhibition in Milan demonstrated the immense potential of the youth-driven innovation in today’s world. By showcasing these impactful solutions, Samsung has not only highlighted the creativity and determination of young innovators but has also underscored the importance of supporting their endeavors to drive social and technological change.

The exhibition’s success is a testament to the global movement toward empowering young minds, connecting them with tools, resources, and opportunities to create meaningful solutions. As the next generation of leaders, innovators, and changemakers, the Solve for Tomorrow Ambassadors are paving the way for a better, more inclusive future for all.
