The Samsung One UI 8.5 camera experience faced a setback when the company removed two essential camera features—Single Take and Dual Recording—from the Galaxy S25 Ultra. These features are popular for providing quick and creative photo and video capturing options. Thankfully, Samsung reversed this decision, restoring the camera functionality. However, despite the fix, the updated version still leaves room for improvement in terms of user experience.

Key Camera Features in Samsung One UI 8.5: Single Take and Dual Recording

Samsung’s One UI 8.5 update initially removed two key camera features—Single Take and Dual Recording. Single Take captures a 15-second video and uses AI to choose the best moments, while Dual Recording allows users to record with two separate camera lenses simultaneously. These features have been popular for some time, enabling users to record and create content easily with minimal effort. The Samsung One UI 8.5 camera experience was at risk when these features were taken away, but their return brought relief to many users.

Samsung One UI 8.5: A Partial Fix for Camera Experience Issues

While Samsung reinstated these features, the implementation is still not perfect. Some users have reported that while Single Take and Dual Recording are back, the functionality is not as smooth as before. Issues with their integration in the One UI 8.5 build have caused frustration for users who rely on these tools for quick and efficient content creation.
