Samsung Galaxy users can now unlock and start select Porsche vehicles using the Samsung Wallet Porsche Digital Key. Not only does this feature simplify access, but it also delivers intuitive and secure control—all from a single mobile interface.

With just a swipe-up gesture, users can view their ID cards, payment methods, and digital car keys in one place. As a result, they no longer need to switch between multiple apps to access their Porsche.

“We are pleased to bring Samsung Galaxy users a richer digital experience through our collaboration with Porsche,” said Woncheol Chai, EVP and Head of the Digital Wallet Team at Samsung Electronics. Moreover, he emphasized that “connecting mobile phones and vehicles through Digital Keys reflects the seamless convenience that Samsung Galaxy stands for.”

Importantly, Porsche is introducing Digital Key for the first time in its newest electric models—the Macan and Cayenne. “Through our collaboration with Samsung, we’re combining innovation with everyday convenience,” said Jörg Kerner, Vice President Product Line Macan. In fact, he called it “a perfect reflection of how technology can enhance the premium driving experience.”

When it comes to security, the Samsung Wallet Porsche Digital Key meets the highest standards. Specifically, it carries EAL6+ grade certification on compatible Galaxy devices. This means the digital key stays securely embedded in the device and resists unauthorized access.

Additionally, users can share their Porsche Digital Key wirelessly with trusted contacts via Samsung Wallet. Even better, they retain full control—granting or revoking access anytime through simple settings.

To ensure safety during use, the system relies on either Ultra-Wideband (UWB) or Near Field Communication (NFC) technology. These protocols follow global standards set by the Car Connectivity Consortium (CCC) and the FiRa Consortium.

In the event a Galaxy phone with a Digital Key gets lost or stolen, users can remotely lock or delete the key using Samsung Find. Furthermore, Samsung Knox provides defense-grade protection. On top of that, biometric authentication or a PIN adds another layer of security to Samsung Wallet.

Setting up the key is straightforward. First, users install the My Porsche app. Then, they link their vehicle and follow the guided steps to add the Digital Key to Samsung Wallet. Within minutes, they gain convenient, secure access to their car.

Regarding availability, the Samsung Wallet Porsche Digital Key begins rolling out this month in Europe for select Porsche models. Later, a global launch will follow in alignment with Porsche’s vehicle release schedule.
