Samsung has officially launched The Premiere 5 projector in South Korea. The device, first unveiled at CES 2025, is now available for purchase in Samsung’s home country. It blends cutting-edge projection with interactive technology to create a new home entertainment experience.
The Samsung The Premiere 5 projector features a triple-laser ultra-short-throw system with 4K resolution. It can project a 100-inch image from just 43 centimeters away. Thanks to its flexible design, it can project onto walls, floors, tables, or screens.
Moreover, the projector offers touch interaction through an infrared camera and laser system. Users can touch the projected image to click, scroll, or use pinch-to-zoom gestures. As a result, The Premiere 5 feels more like a giant touchscreen than a traditional projector.
The device also adapts automatically to its surroundings. It adjusts brightness, color tones, and contrast to deliver optimal visuals without manual tuning. Therefore, users enjoy the best possible image quality across different spaces.
Running on Tizen OS 9.0 with a custom One UI interface, the projector provides access to popular streaming apps. Furthermore, it integrates seamlessly with the SmartThings app, letting users control smart home devices directly from the screen.
Samsung priced The Premiere 5 projector at KRW 1.99 million, about $1,383. Customers in South Korea can buy it both online and in Samsung retail stores.
Heon Lee, Executive Vice President of Samsung’s Visual Display Business, said, “The Premiere 5 sets a new standard for immersive experiences beyond content.” He emphasized that its touch interaction features will change how users enjoy media at home and beyond.
With its groundbreaking design and smart features, Samsung The Premiere 5 projector aims to redefine the future of projection technology.
