Samsung is gearing up to launch its entry-level Galaxy A16 series in both 4G and 5G variants this December. Recent leaks have provided a full look at the specs and renders for both models, confirming the key differences and similarities between the two.

Key Differences:

  • The Galaxy A16 5G will be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 1330 chipset in Europe, while other regions, such as Southeast Asia, are expected to get the phone with MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300.
  • The Galaxy A16 4G will feature the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset, the same as its predecessor.

Shared Specifications:

  • Display: Both models will have a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED display with a FHD+ resolution and a 90Hz refresh rate.
  • Cameras: A 50MP main camera, a 5MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro module make up the rear camera setup. Both phones will have the same camera system.
  • Battery: A 5,000mAh battery with 25W fast charging will power both variants.
  • Storage: Each phone will come with 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage, with support for microSD card expansion.
  • Software: Samsung is expected to offer up to 6 years of Android updates and security patches for both phones.

Pricing:

  • The Galaxy A16 4G is expected to be priced around €210, while the Galaxy A16 5G will start at €240 in Europe.

Both phones promise to offer solid value with reliable performance, especially with their long software support commitment, making them attractive options in the budget segment.
