Galaxy Z Flip 7, Fold 7 Stolen in London Heist
Thieves stole a truck loaded with Galaxy Z Flip 7 Fold 7 smartphones worth over $10 million from London’s Heathrow Airport. The heist took place shortly after the phones began shipping in the UK, making it one of the most disruptive events for Samsung this launch season.
According to tipster @UniverseIce, the vehicle carried both the Galaxy Z Flip 7, retailing at £1,149, and the Galaxy Z Fold 7, priced at £1,799. Based on those figures, the truck likely contained more than 6,000 devices—adding up to roughly £7.9 million ($10.6 million) in total value.
Samsung has not confirmed whether the vehicle has been recovered. However, law enforcement is likely working with the company to locate the cargo and identify those responsible.

Samsung Expected to Blocklist Stolen Devices
Samsung can blocklist stolen phones remotely. This prevents criminals from activating them or using them on legitimate networks. The action renders the devices worthless on the black market, protecting both customers and resale platforms.
Additionally, Samsung likely holds insurance coverage for inventory in transit. So, while the financial loss appears massive, the impact may be contained. That said, managing blocklisted devices and reactivating them—should they be recovered—will still be a complex task.
The Galaxy Z Flip 7 Fold 7 launched globally on July 9 and became available in the UK on July 25. Samsung designed these models to be slimmer, lighter, and more appealing to mainstream users. Their rising popularity reflects strong market demand, which makes the timing of this theft particularly damaging.
Despite the incident, early sales indicate these foldables could become Samsung’s most successful yet. Their improved hinge design, refined display quality, and more powerful internals have turned skeptics into buyers.
While the theft raises serious questions about logistics security, Samsung is expected to reinforce its transport protocols immediately. The company aims to prevent similar losses and maintain confidence in its global supply chain.
