Galaxy Watch 7 Gets One UI 8 Watch Update Globally

The Galaxy Watch 7 update to One UI 8 Watch is now rolling out worldwide. After its initial debut in South Korea and the USA, Samsung has started releasing it in India, Europe, and other regions. This update introduces a refreshed design, smarter controls, and major health upgrades, giving the smartwatch a smoother and more intuitive experience.

Global Rollout Details

The new Galaxy Watch 7 update is built on Wear OS 6 and arrives with firmware version L310XXU1BY14. It is a 1.9GB download that includes the September 2025 security patch for improved stability and data protection.

Users can check for the update by opening the Galaxy Wearable app and heading to Watch settings > Watch software update > Download and install. Once the download completes, tapping Install now will restart the watch and complete the process. The rollout continues across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.

What’s New in the Galaxy Watch 7 Update

The Galaxy Watch 7 update delivers a completely redesigned user interface. It adds new app icons, widgets, watch faces, and a smoother charging animation. Notifications now appear in stacked cards, and you can dismiss them with a double pinch gesture.

Samsung has expanded gesture controls too. You can scroll through notifications, manage music playback, and even take photos with a double pinch. In addition, users can shake their wrist to quickly return to the main watch face. These small yet effective upgrades make the watch easier to use.

New Layout Options and Customization

Samsung now lets you switch between list and grid layouts in the app drawer. This choice allows users to customize how they access apps. You can also select which calendars appear on the watch and control how notifications behave when the connected phone is active.

These adjustments help make the experience more seamless between devices. As a result, the smartwatch feels faster and more integrated with the broader Samsung ecosystem.

Samsung Health and Fitness Enhancements

The Galaxy Watch 7 update introduces several wellness tools under Samsung Health. You’ll find Bedtime Guidance, a smarter Running Coach, and expanded Mindfulness features. Together, these additions promote better sleep habits, personalized workouts, and improved mental health support.

Users can now track recovery more accurately and view detailed performance insights after each workout. With more precise metrics and guidance, staying consistent with health goals becomes much easier.

Expanding Worldwide Availability

The rollout has already reached most regions, but more markets will follow soon. Samsung continues to expand support globally, ensuring users enjoy consistent updates and security patches.

With its refreshed visuals, advanced gestures, and new fitness capabilities, the Galaxy Watch 7 update offers one of the most significant software improvements yet. It makes the smartwatch more intuitive, connected, and health-focused — a true reflection of Samsung’s growing smartwatch ecosystem.
