The rivalry between Apple and Samsung took center stage again during Apple’s WWDC 2025, and this time, Samsung didn’t hold back. While Apple unveiled new updates across iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and more, Samsung US was quick to troll its competitor — live and direct on X (formerly Twitter).

Just 20 minutes into Apple’s keynote, Samsung started firing off posts mocking several of Apple’s big announcements. The first jab came at 10:22 AM PT, when Samsung sarcastically called out iOS 26’s new Liquid Glass design, saying the look and customizable features seemed “familiar.”

Later, at 10:39 AM, Samsung pointed out that Apple’s new live translation feature was far from groundbreaking, noting, “We’ve been translating text and speech in real-time for a while now.” Finally, at 10:59 AM, Samsung took aim at Apple Watch updates by tweeting, “AI is coming to your watch? Cute. Ours already knows when you’re too tired to care.”

Apple’s Liquid Glass design has already faced criticism online. Many users feel the clear UI lacks readability and draws too many comparisons to older systems like Microsoft’s Windows Vista Aero — a design few remember fondly. Though iOS 26 is still in beta, the early feedback hasn’t been overwhelmingly positive.

Samsung, in contrast, redesigned its One UI 7 with a more restrained approach. While it introduced a new blur engine, the effects were subtler and better integrated. Additionally, Galaxy AI continues to lead in terms of rollout and versatility, with features available on a wider range of devices than Apple’s latest offerings.

While it remains to be seen how Apple will respond, one thing is clear: Samsung has no intention of staying quiet during its rival’s biggest moments.
