The Galaxy S25 Edge camera specs have been officially revealed, giving us a better idea of what to expect from Samsung’s next flagship. The phone’s selfie camera will use the S5K3LU sensor, featuring a 1/3.2″ type size. Today, we also learned details about the main and ultrawide cameras, confirming that the phone will not include a telephoto lens.
The main camera uses a 200 MP sensor, the same one from the Galaxy S25 Ultra. With a 1/1.3″ type sensor, it will capture high-quality photos and deliver good 2x zoom shots. The lack of a dedicated telephoto lens is a downside, but the main sensor will make up for this. The ultrawide camera is a 12 MP sensor with a 1/2.55″ type size, matching the Galaxy S25 and S25+ models. However, the 50 MP ultrawide found on the S25 Ultra will stay exclusive to that model.
The Galaxy S25 Edge camera specs show that the phone prioritizes design and general performance over camera features. Still, it does include an ultrawide lens, which puts it ahead of competitors like the iPhone 17 Air, which lacks one.
Rumors suggest that Samsung will announce the Galaxy S25 Edge on May 13, 2025. The phone will release in Korea and China on May 23, and in other markets, including the US, on May 30.
